Photographer Stephen Wilkes gives you an answer with his “Day to Night” series, where his time lapse photos capture the transformations of the Big Apple from sunrise till sunset. Stephen would spend up to 15 hours at a single spot, taking up to 1000 pictures of each location. The final image is a result of blending about 50 separate pictures, so the change of light is very subtle and gradual. A city that never sleeps is exactly what New York looks like in Stephen’s pictures!
